Mr. Barrett, for the Committee on Patents, presented also a request from the Permutit Company for a non-exclusive license of the ParrStraub process for the prevention of embrittlement. On motion of Mrs. Hopkins, this matter was referred to the Committee on Patents, with power to act.

The Secretary presented also for record a list of appointments made by the Acting President of the University.

Babcock, S. H., to give instruction in Organic Chemistry in the Summer Session of 1934, beginning June 18, and ending August I I , 1934, at a cash compensation of three hundred dollars ($300) for the session. (April 18, 1934) 1 Beaver, Paul C , to give instruction in Zoology in the Summer Session of 1934, on three-fifths time, beginning June 18, and ending August 11,1934, at a cash compensation of one hundred fifty dollars ($150) for the session. (April 12, 1934) Danner, Edwin C , to give instruction in Zoology in the Summer Session of 1934, on three-fifths time, beginning June 18, and ending August n , 1934, a t a cash compensation of one hundred fifty dollars ($150) for the session. (April 12, 1934) Fischer, Jacob, Instructor in Internal Medicine, in the College of Medicine, for five months beginning April 1, 1934, without salary (this supersedes his previous appointment). (April 26, 1934) Gloss, Albert John, Assistant in Internal Medicine, in the College of Medicine, for four months beginning May I, 1934, without salary. (May 8, 1934) Inman, B. T., Assistant in Agricultural Economics, in the Agricultural Experiment Station, on one-half time, for three months beginning April 1, 1934, at a cash compensation a t the rate of seventy dollars ($70) a month (this supersedes his previous appointment). (April 17, 1934) Lerner, Benjamin Herzl, Assistant in Internal Medicine, in the College of Medicine, for four months beginning May 1, 1934, without salary. (May 8, 1934) RESIGNATIONS
