X 934] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 579 DAIRY CATTLE FOR MILK EXHIBIT AT A CENTURY O F PROGRESS (40) A request from the Brook Hill Farm, Inc., for the loan of not more than six cows from the University's dairy herd, for show in connection with the Brook Hill Farm's certified milk exhibit at A Century of Progress. This will be the only exhibit of its kind a t the Fair. The Dean of the College of Agriculture is not prepared a t this time to make a recommendation on the request, as he needs to find out more definitely about the terms under which the cows would be loaned. I recommend t h a t this matter be referred to the President of the Board, or the President of the University, or both, with power to act in case a decision has to be made before the next meeting of the Board. This matter was referred to the President of the Board and the President of the University, with power to act. POWER SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH ILLINOIS POWER AND LIGHT CORPORATION (41) A recommendation that the Board accept a new contract submitted by the Illinois Power and Light Corporation for supplying the electric energy to the University beginning July I, 1934, to replace the present contract which expires on t h a t date. The Acting Director of Buildings and Grounds also recommends the continuation of the "study of power plant and related activities" which was authorized by the Board on March 4, 1934, and which is now being conducted by Professor Poison of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. On motion of Mr. Trees, this contract was accepted. SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENT FOR N O N ILLINOIS STUDENTS (42) A recommendation of the University Senate that the special scholarship requirement for non-Illinois students, adopted b y the Board on February 8, 1932, be discontinued. On motion of Dr. Meyer, this requirement was discontinued. FEES, SECOND SEMESTER, 1 9 3 3 - 3 4 (43) A report of the Comptroller on the fees assessed for the second semester of the current year. This report was received for record. ADMISSION TO THE COLLEGE OF MEDICINE Dr. Meyer, for the Committee on Chicago Departments, made a report of progress on the matter of admission to the College of Medicine, and asked that the committee be given more time. This request was granted. REPORT OF AUDITORS Mr. Trees, for the Finance Committee, presented the report of Arthur Andersen & Company of their audit of the accounts of the University for the current fiscal year, to April 9, 1934. This report was received for record. QUARTERLY R E P O R T O F THE C O M P T R O L L E R Mr. Trees, for the Finance Committee, presented a recommendation that the report of the Comptroller for the quarter ending March 31, I 934» be received for record as filed. On motion of Mr. Trees, this recommendation was adopted.
