1 The State Appropriation for the fiscal year July j , 1932-Tuly 1, 1033, will b e p a i d by the State Department of Agriculture on the salary of the county farm advisers following monthly certification for salary by the Director of Extension. 2 The $9,000 Farmers' Cooperative Demonstration Fund appropriated by the United States Department of Agriculture will be paid directly to the farm advisers through the Extension Service by the United States Treasury Office as follows: 33 farm_ advisers at $300 a year $ 9 900 An additional amount of $700 is available to cover the cost of penalty envelopes for the farm and home advisers, which are purchased by the United States Department of Agriculture and shipped to Illinois for distribution 700

Total, Farmers' Cooperative Demonstration Fund $10 600 s To be increased in June, 1933, if any balances are available due to unused salaries accruing from vacancies in the Extension Service. (This does not mean any increase in the salaries of the farm advisers, but an increase in the amount of the advisers' salary paid from federal funds.) T h e Federal Clarke-McNary Fund of $1,980 will be paid at the rate of $165 per month from the United States Treasury through the United States Department of Agriculture and the Extension Service.
