REPORT OF PURCHASES

(17) The following report of purchases authorized by the President since the last report: From the H. C. Stone Lumber Company, of Peoria, Illinois, one car of yellow pine lumber for the physical plant stock at a cost of $1,151.51, on the basis of competitive quotations. This company quoted the lowest price for the quality of lumber desired. This report was received for record.

HERMAN EL1CH PRIZE IN CHEMISTRY

(18) A report that Mr. Leo L. Mrazek, of the Class of 1897 of the College of Pharmacy, has withdrawn his offer of an annual prize of $25 to the senior student who attained the highest average in chemistry, which he has been giving for a number of years; and that Mr. Herman Elich, of the Class of 1896 of the College of Pharmacy, has volunteered to offer it in his place.
