KUNZ PHOTO-ELECTRIC CELL

Mr. Williams requested t h a t the Patent Committee be discharged from further consideration of t h e matter of infringements of the patent for the K u n z photo-electric cell. O n motion of M r . Trees, this request w a s granted.

ALUMNI FOUNDATION

On motion of M r . Armstrong, the special committee on the p r o posed Alumni Foundation w a s discharged from further consideration of the matter.

BRADLEY BEQUEST

The Secretary reported the receipt of notice from M r s . Helen Byers Bradley, that the will of h e r husband, Colonel William Roger son Bradley, w h o died in 1928, contained the following item: "I give and bequeath to the Military Band Department of the School of Music of the University of Illinois the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000), in cash or its equivalent, the same to be a perpetual trust fund to be created and known as the W. R. Bradley Banquet Fund, the principal thereof to be invested in legal securities of the State of Illinois and the income derived therefrom to be used for holding an annual banquet for the members of the said University band, of which Professor A. A. Harding at the date of the making of this will is the leader and director. This bequest is to be paid at the convenience of my legal representative within five years from the date of my death, and is to be paid without any deduction for any collateral inheritance tax, which taxes shall be paid out of my residuary estate first hereinafter mentioned." O n motion of M r . Trees, this bequest was accepted, and the Acting President of the University was requested to send an expression of the appreciation of the B o a r d t o M r s . Bradley. DATE OF N O V E M B E R MEETING On motion of M r . Trees, it was voted to hold the November meeting on Saturday, November 18, at t h e University.
