' T h e State Appropriations for the fiscal year July 1, 1933—July 1, 1934, will be paid by the State Department of Agriculture on the salaries of the county farm and home advisers following monthly certification for salary by the Director of Extension. 3 The $9,000 Farmers' Cooperative Demonstration Fund appropriated by the United States Department of Agriculture will be paid directly to the farm advisers through the Extension Service by the United States Treasury Office as follows: 29 farm advisers @ $300 a year $8 700 An additional amount of $300 is available to cover the cost of penalty envelopes for the farm and home advisers and extension staff, which are purchased by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and shipped to Illinois for distribution 300 Total, Farmers' Cooperative Demonstration Fund 1933-1934 $9 000 3 To be increased in June 1934 if any balances are available due to unused salaries accruing from vacancies in the Extension Service. (This does not mean any increase in the salaries of the farm advisers, but an increase in the amount of the adviser's salary paid from federal funds.) •Permanently employed, but works temporarily in one county and then in another.
