BOARD OF TRUSTEES INVESTMENT OF T R U S T F U N D S

[June 16

Mr. Trees, for the Finance Committee, recommended that $500 of U. S. Treasury 3 ^ per cent bonds, due 1946-1956, be purchased with available uninvested trust funds. On motion of Mr. Barr, this recommendation was approved.

C O N C E S S I O N O F PRIORITY, P A I N E , B R O W N , TYKOCINER PATENT

On recommendation of the Patent Committee, and on motion of Mr. Williams, the Board approved the recommendation of the patent attorneys that a stipulation be entered into with Austin that the interference be dissolved immediately, it being understood that in consideration of the concession of priority by the University to Austin the assignee of Austin will give a license to the University, coupled with a right to grant licenses to others, to practice the Paine method; also that the University will grant a license to the Ohio Brass Company, assignee of Austin, to employ the method of the Paine invention; and all licenses to be without the payment of royalties. Mr. Armstrong asked to be recorded as voting no on this motion.

DATE OF JULY MEETING

On motion of Mr. Trees, it was voted to hold the July meeting in Chicago, on the call of the President.
