STADIUM FUND (13) The Comptroller calls attention to the fact that the Treasurer of the University has been serving since September 13, 1922 (Minutes, page 285), as Treasurer of the Stadium Fund which the Board of Trustees agreed on October 12, 1921, to accept and handle. The Treasurer used the First National Bank of Champaign as the depository for this fund. At the time of the closing of the Bank on January 16, 1932, the balance in that fund was $243.65. This report was received for record. REPORT ON PURCHASE OF SECURITIES (14) O n January 13, 1932 (Minutes, page 506), the Board authorized the purchase of $2500 of Houston Power and Light 5 % bonds of 1953 at a price not to exceed 95. The Comptroller reports that $500 of these bonds were purchased at that price just at the time the First National Bank of Champaign closed and in view of that incident he asked that the remainder of the order be held for further word. It now appears that in view of the plans of the Department of Physical Education for W o m e n to use approximately $3,000 of the M a y Fetes fund, which for several years has been invested in securities, it may not be possible to make any additional investments of endowment funds at this time. This report w a s received for record. C. P. A.
