510 board of trustees [January 22 FINANCIAL SITUATION President Chase made a statement concerning the financial situation as affected by the closing of the First National Bank of Champaign. Mr. Capron made a statement. O n motion of Mr. Armstrong, the President of the Board was requested to appoint a special committee (of which he should be a member) to consider the financial situation and to present recommendations to the Board. President Barr appointed the following committee: Mr. Trees, Mr. Barrett, Mr. Williams, and Mr. Barr, to work with the President of the University, the Comptroller, and the Treasurer, and to formulate recommendations to the Board. FIRST NATIONAL BANK O F CHICAGO DESIGNATED AS DEPOSITORY Mr. Morey reported that the Treasurer had designated the First National Bank of Chicago to act as depository of University funds.
