28 BOARD O F TRUSTEES [July 23 to write the insurance at the rate quoted by the local representatives, and a recommendation was made that the insurance be placed with the next low bidder, Boggs & Cogdall, representing the Hartford Fire Insurance Company or the Phoenix Company of Hartford, at a net cost of $.3888 per $ 100. This agency shortly thereafter withdrew its proposal and declined to accept the business. All of these representatives are local agencies. The Comptroller and the Supervising Architect now present a new schedule of proposals received on insurance for the Chemistry Annex, Woman's Gymnasium, and the Medical and Dental Laboratories. The low bidder on the Chemistry Annex and the Woman's Gymnasium is the firm of M c K e y & Poague of Chicago, with a quotation of $.42 per J100 per year, and the low bidder on the Medical and Dental Laboratories is Moore, Case, Lyman, & Hubbard of Chicago, with a quotation of J.18 per Jioo per year. They recommend that the proposal of these twofirmsbe accepted. All insurance is to cover fire and tornado risks and is to be in the automatic builders risk form with 1 0 0 % coinsurance. I concur in these recommendations. O n motion of M r . Trees, the officers of the University were authorized to place this insurance as r e c o m m e n d e d .
