i93i] UNIVERSITY O F ILLINOIS a8i versity the sum of $5,000 for a twelve-month period, in quarterly payments, and that the College of Agriculture, under the direction of the Director of Extension, shall employ, direct, and supervise the work of an extension specialist in home vegetable gardening to promote family food production by the unemployed or partially employed. Since no question of University policy is involved in this proposal, and since immediate action was requested, I authorized the Director to enter into this agreement, a copy of which is hereby submitted to the Secretary of the Board for record.
