MEETING O F T H E B O A R D O F T R U S T E E S OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS February 5, 6, 1931 The February meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at io o'clock a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 1931. W h e n the Board convened, the following members were present: M r . Armstrong, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Fisher, Dr. Noble; Mrs. Hopkins came later in the forenoon. M r . A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, was present, representing President Chase; also Professor J. M . White and Judge Sveinbjorn Johnson, Legal Counsel. O n motion of Dr. Noble, Mr. Armstrong was elected Chairman. As there was no quorum, a recess was taken. 149
