Il6 THE SCHOOL OF "PHARMACY necessary for the successful practice of pharmacy. The subjects taught are pharmacy, chemistry, botany, materia medica, pharmacognosy, physics. The instruction is by lectures, illustrated by experiments, specimens, charts, etc., oral quizzes and recitations, written examinations, and laboratory practice. ADMISSION Any person at least 16 years of age who presents satisfactory evidence of such preliminary education as can be gained in the public grammar school, may be admitted. GRADUATION The degree of Graduate in Pharmacy will be conferred upon such persons as are 21 years of age, have satisfactorily completed the work of two full terms and have had four years practical experience in pharmacy, including the period of attendance at the Pharmacy School. Advanced Courses in pharmacy and chemistry and the involved and allied sciences are provided at the University in Urbana, and lead to graduation with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Chemistry. The requirements for admission to these advanced courses are the same as for other University courses. Persons competent to fulfill the general requirements for admission to the University may be granted credit upon the University courses for equivalent work satisfactorily completed at the School of Pharmacy.
