126 GRADUATE SCHOOL such major work, and, in a general way, with the supervision of the student's entire course of study. He fixes the time and method of all examinations not otherwise provided for, sees that they are properly conducted, and reports results to the registrar. It is his duty also to keep the dean of the general faculty-informed concerning all matters affecting the interests of the student, and of the school in connection therewith.
