SANDFORD (5) I recommend that William P i l p Sandford be appointed A s s a t P o e s r hlis sitn rfso of English, in charge of the courses in Public Speaking, for one year from September 1, 1926, at a salary of $3500. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this appointment was made. APPOINTMENT OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR C. L. FINNEY (6) I recommend that Claude Lee Finney be appointed Assistant Professor of English for one year from September 1, 1926, at a salary of $3000. O n motion of D r . Noble, this appointment was made. APPOINTMENT OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR H. A. SINGER (7) I recommend that Dr. Harry Albert Singer be appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine on three-fourths time at a salary of #1800 a year for three months beginning June 1, 1926. Dr. Singer will also be included in the budget for appointment for one year beginning September 1, 1926, at the same salary. O n motion of D r . Noble, this appointment was made. PLYM FOREIGN SCHOLARSHIP IN ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING (8) The Plym Foreign Scholarship Committee and the Dean of the College of Engineering recommend that Mr. Keith Graham Reeve be awarded the third Plym Foreign Scholarship in Architectural Engineering. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r . W h a m , this appointment was m a d e . PURCHASE OF LOT 29 IN COLLEGE PLACE (9) The Comptroller reports that in accordance with the action of the Board on March 9, 1926, he has concluded the purchase of Lot 29 in College Place for the sum of £2700 and has deposited the papers with the Secretary. This report w a s received for record. REPORT OF THEFTS IN RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL HOSPITALS (10) Mr. WilKam H. Browne, of the College of Medicine, reports the loss of certain equipment from the Research and Educational Hospitals by theft. I have asked the Comptroller to inquire into the matter of taking out burglary insurance on certain equipment in this building and ask authority to take out insurance. O n motion of D r . Noble, this matter w a s referred to the President of the University with power to act.
