M E E T I N G O F T H E B O A R D O F TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS June 9, 1925 The quarterly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the University, in Urbana, at 9 o'clock a. m. on Tuesday, June 9, 1925. As there was no quorum, the Board adjourned to meet at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at 9 o'clock a. m. on Friday, June 12, 1925. ADJOURNED SESSION OF JUNE 12, 1925 W h e n the Board convened on June 12, 1925, the following members were present: Mr. Barr, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Grigsby, Mrs. Ickes, Mr. Trees. President Kinley was present; also Professor J. M . White, Supervising Architect. On motion of Mrs. Evans, Mr. Trees was elected chairman. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of M a y 16, 1925. O n motion of Mrs. Grigsby, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 225 to 244 above. MATTERS PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT KINLEY The Board considered the following matters presented by the President of the University. DEGREES C O N F E R R E D (1) A request for authority to confer degrees at the commencement exercises on duly qualified candidates recommended by the University Senate and to award honors and prizes as shown in the following lists; and also on candidates recommended by the University Senate w h o shall complete the requirements during the summer session. 245
