SCHOF1ELD MEDICAL MISSIONARY SCHOLARSHIP (32) The Northwestern Branch of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society wishes to withdraw the fund given for the Schofield Medical Missionary scholarship and to terminate the scholarship. The principal of the fund ($2000) is invested in College of Physicians and Surgeons bonds and the accumulated income to date amounts to $600 which is on hand in cash. I, therefore, recommend that the University take over the bonds amounting to $2000 and that an appropriation of that amount be made for this purpose from the Reserve and Contingent Fund. I further recommend that the Comptroller be authorized to pay back to the Northwestern Branch of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society the above amount of principal of the Schofield Scholarship fund and in addition the $600 of the accumulated income thereon. BLAISDELL (34) A request from Miss Blaisdell, Instructor in German, for leave of absence without salary for the academic year beginning September 1, 1925. Although the rules for sabbatical leave do not provide for absence on the terms of sabbatical leave for members of the staff below professorial rank, Miss Blaisdell's long and successful service of twenty-five years deserves special consideration. Therefore, I recommend that she be given officially a leave of absence for one year without pay, her position to be open to her with such salary adjustments on her return as the circumstances may justify.
