REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO THE COLLEGE OF MEDICINE (15) The University Senate recommends that the requirements for admission to the College of Medicine be modified so as to provide: 1. That 60 semester hours of academic work shall be required exclusive of military, hygiene, and physical education. 2. That Spanish and Italian shall be eliminated from the college requirement in foreign language preparatory to Medicine, thus limiting the acceptable languages to French or German. The Senate further recommends that these changes become effective for students entering the College of Medicine in September, 1926, and thereafter. These recommendations were adopted. TIME OF THE JANUARY MEETING O n motion of Mr. Trees, the matter offixingthe time of the January meeting was referred to the President of the Board with power to act. APPOINTMENTS MADE BY PRESIDENT KINLEY The Secretary presented for record the following l s of appointments it made by the President of the University. Brandt, Thelma, Technician Clerk in the Department of Orthodontia and Children's Clinic, in the College of Dentistry, for nine months, beginning December 1, 1924, at a salary of ninety dollars ($90) a month, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission. (December 4, 1924)1 Burns, O. R. Assistant Technician in the Laboratory of Physiological Chemistry, in the College of Medicine, for ten months, beginning November 1, 1924, at a salary of seventy-five dollars ($75) a month (December 3, 1924) Casberg, Mrs. Bertha Price, Assistant in History, on part-time, for two and onehalf months, beginning November 15, 1924, at a salary of twenty dollars ($20) a month. (December 1, 1924) Kahn, in parenthesis is the date on which the appointment was of Preventive Kinley. 2Thc dateHelen, Technician (Serologist) in the Department made by PresidentMedicine, for nine months, beginning December 1, 1924, at a salary of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) a month.
