Funds are available from the proceeds of the Auxiliary Facilities System, Series 1991 Revenue Bond issue and from the Auxiliary Facilities System Repair and Replacement Reserve Fund. A schedule of the bids received and a description of the alternates have been filed with the secretary of the board for record. The project consists of the removal of existing pavement, curbs, and other miscellaneous site elements; construction of Portland cement concrete pavement, bituminous concrete pavement, combination curb and gutter, subsurface drainage system, seeding, fertilizing, and other miscellaneous items. The electrical portion of the work consists of removal of existing parking lot lights and poles; construction of new parking lot lights, poles, electrical conduit, electric wires, and other miscellaneous items. Employment of Architect/Engineer, Remodeling for Pathology Department, Chicago (19) The president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the employment of John Victor Frega Associates, Ltd., Chicago, for the professional services required for the remodeling of approximately 12,200 gross square feet for the upgrade of the Pathology Department in the Clinical Sciences Building and other College of Medicine buildings at the Chicago campus. The firm's fee through the construction phase will be a fixed fee of $236,000 plus authorized reimbursable expenses estimated to be $31,000. The project consists of the build-out of vacant, former second floor cafeteria space to laboratory space for the Pathology Department and the construction of administrative spaces in the Clinical Sciences Building as well as pathology administrative areas within other College of Medicine buildings. Funds are available from the Restricted Funds budget of the University of Illinois Hospital.
