Employment of Architect/Engineer, Remodeling, Phase II, Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, Urbana

(22) T h e president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the employment of the firm of BLDD Architects, Decatur, for the professional architectural and engineering services required for a $1.3 million project in the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory at the Urbana campus. T h e remodeling consists of constructing an intermediate floor in a high bay area between Engineering Research Laboratory and the main Mechanical Engineering Laboratory. T h e space created will provide approximately 6,000 gross square feet of design laboratories for the Aeronautical Engineering Department presently located in Aero Lab "B." T h e firm's fee for the professional services required for the design and bidding phases will be a fixed fee of $81,400 plus reimbursements estimated to be $20,000. Funds are available from the Institutional Funds operating budget of the College of Engineering.
