MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS July 11, 1991 The July meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in Illini Room C, Illini Union, Urbana, Illinois, on Thursday, July 11, 1991, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Mrs. Nina T. Shepherd 1 called the meeting to order and asked the secretary to call the roll. The following members of the board were present: Dr. Gloria Jackson Bacon, Mr. Kenneth R. Boyle, Mrs. Judith Ann Calder, Mr. Donald W. Grabowski, Mrs. Susan L. Gravenhorst, Mr. Thomas R. Lamont, Ms. Judith R. Reese, Mrs. Nina T. Shepherd. The following members of the board were absent: Governor Jim Edgar, Mr. Charles P. Wolff. The following nonvoting student trustees were present: Ms. Catherine A. Caporusso, Chicago campus; Mr. Byron P. Mitchell, Urbana-Champaign campus. Also present were President Stanley O. Ikenberry; Dr. Robert W. Resek, vice president for academic affairs; Dr. James J. Stukel, chancellor, University of Illinois at Chicago; Dr. Morton W. Weir, chancellor, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and the officers of the board, Dr. Craig S.
