A. T . C. S T O P P E D (6) A report that the induction of men to the S. A. T. C. had been discontinued by order of the Federal Government, on October 31, 1918. This report was received for record. RETURN TO RESERVE OFFICERS' TRAINING CORPS (7) A statement concerning the possibility of returning to the basis of the Reserve Officers5 Training Corps in case the S. A. T. C. were discontinued. No action was taken in this matter. REPORT, SCHOOL OF MILITARY AERONAUTICS (8) A report to November 15, 1918, from Dean Kinley, who has been in charge of the School of Military Aeronautics. November 20, 1918 President E. J. James DEAR MR. PRESIDENT: Following is a statement concerning the present status of the School of Military Aeronautics. The School of Military Aeronautics has been occupying the Y. M. C. A. Building, the dance hall in the Bradley Arcade, and the Woman's Residence Hall, certain offices in the Transportation Building, and the building on Wright Street owned by the Students' Union. While this space was designed for taking care of the School at its maximum, the uncertainty concerning the future increase or decrease at the opening of this University year, made it impossible for us to abandon any of these buildings. It became evident, however, not long ago, that there was little likelihood of an increase of the School, and I had taken steps to reduce the amount of space used. However, orders came today virtually closing the School, so that the whole situation presents a different aspect. *At a meeting of the Committee on Agriculture held after the Board Meeting, it was voted to refer this matter to the President of the University, with power to act, and he approved later the recommendation of the Committee on Labor.
