During the reading of the budget, Professors Steele, Dreyer, Wood, Williamson, and Bacon, of the Faculty of the College of Medicine, who had been asked by President James to present the needs of the College of Medicine, were introduced. Each one set forth the needs of his own department and also the general need of better library, clinical, and hospital facilities. At this point, Superintendent Blair withdrew. APPROVAL OF T H E BUDGET. After discussion of provisions of the budget, and upon motion of Miss Watson, the budget was approved and the President of the University was authorized to make transfers of funds from one department to another when necessary to meet overdrafts, in order to keep the total expenditura within the total income shown in the budget. The vote was as follows: Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Henrotin, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Moore, Miss Watson; noes, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mr. Dunne, Mr. Hopkins, Mr. Meeker, Mr. Trevett.
