1912] PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES. SETTLEMENT ON LINCOLN HALL. 551 On the recommendation of the supervising architect, it was voted to recommend that. a final settlement be authorized with English Brothers, on account of their contract for building Lincoln hall, $3,000.00 of the balance due them to be withheld until the terra cotta panels are completed. NEW WELL. On the recommendation of the' supervising architect, it was voted to recommend that the sinking of a new well be authorized at a cost, including pump and motor and all connections, of $2,700.00, to be paid from the State appropriation for water station. The secretary presented the following report of appointments made by% the president or the vice president of the University to fill vacancies provided for in the budget-or caused by resignation and declination: Adams, Charles Edward, assistant in Railway Engineering, on part time, for four months, beginning Feb. 1, 1912, at a salary of one hundred thirtyfive dollars ($135.00) a month. (Jan. 23, 1912.)* Armstrong, lone, instructor in the Summer Session Library School, for the term of six weeks beginning June 17* 1912, at a salary for the period named of one hundred seventy-five dollars ($175.00.) (March 14, 1912.) Barto, P. S. (previously on half time), assistant in German (on full time), for five months, beginning Feb. 1, 1912, at a salary of one hundred dollars ($100.00) a month, vice Louis DeVries, resigned. (Feb. 2, 1912.) Bolen, Anna R., clinical nurse in the College of Medicine, from Feb. 1, 1912, to Aug. 31, 1912, at a salary of sixty dollars ($60.00) a month, vice Elizabeth Wolf, resigned. (Feb, 7, 1912.) Bollman, Minnie, temporary catalogue assistant in the Library, on onefourth time, for the month of February, 1912, at a salary of fifteen dollars ($15.00) for the month. (Feb. 5, 1*912.) Brown, M. P., research assistant to the dean of the Graduate School, from Feb. 20, 1912, to June 30, 1912, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50.00) a month, vice A. J. Hill, resigned. (Feb. 17, 1912.) Burgener, Claude E. (resigned as fellow in Psychology), assistant in Psychology, for five months, beginning Feb. 1, 1912, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50.00) a month. (Feb. 14,, 1912.) Burlison, William Leonidas, associate in crop production, on half time, for four months, beginning Feb. 15, 1912, at a salary of one hundred dollars ($100.00) a month. (Feb. 17, 1912.) Curtis, Florence R., instructor in the Summer Session Library School for the term of six weeks, beginning June 17, 1912, at a salary for the period named of one hundred seventy-five" dollars.
