Meeting of September 26, 1911.

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1911, at 12 :00 m., in the Blackstone hotel, in the city of Chicago, pursuant to the following notice sent out by the secretary on Sept. 18, 1 9 1 1 : Upon the call of the president, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1911, at 12:00 m., to consider such matters as the committees of the Board of Trustees and the president of the University may submit and such other business as may be duly presented. The following members of the board were present: Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Bahrenburg, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hatch, Mr. Hoit. President James was present.

STATUS OF NEGOTIATIONS W I T H COLLEGE OP P . AND S.

President Abbott, as chairman of the Executive Committee, presented a report on the status of the negotiations between the College of Pirysicians and Surgeons of Chicago and the University. He stated that the Executive Committee,, in accordance with the resolution passed on Aug. 1, 1911 ? (page 470) had consulted with representatives of the College of Physicians and Surgeons; t h a t the latter were unwilling to make any important modifications in the lease and were unwilling to make a lease for a period longer than until the first day of July, 1912; but that a tentative lease had been agreed upon which would probably be signed within a short time. There being no quorum present, the board adjourned.

A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held a t the Blackstone hotel, in Chicago', immediately following the adjournment of the special meeting of the Board of Trustees on Sept. 26, 1911.
