464 UNIVEESITY OF ILLINOIS. [May 29 Meeting of May 29, 1908. A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Palmer House in Chicago,, May 29, 1908, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the Secretary May 2>2, 1908: Upon the call of the President, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at the Palmer House in Chicago at 9:00 a. m., Friday, May 29, 1908, to authorize conferring degrees upon those who are that day to be graduated from the College of Dentistry, and to transact such other business as may be duly presented. Wlhen the board met pursuant to this call the following members were present: Messrs. Abbott, Davison, Hatch and Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Busey, absent, Governor Deneen and Messrs. Blair, Lehman and Madden and Mrs. Alexander. President James was present. MATTERS PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT JAMES. The president presented the following matters for consideration: DEGREES FOR COLLEGE OP DENTISTRY GRADUATES. 1. A recommendation that the President of the University be authorized to confer the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery upon the following named persons recommended for the same by the faculty of the College of Dentistry. Voted on motion of Dr. Davison that said authority be given.
