UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS.

[Sept. 27

Paper P is a list of the School of Pharmacy vouchers presented for audit, being Nos. 153 to 202, inclusive. Paper Q is a list of the College of Medicine vouchers presented for audit, being Nos. 831 to 1054, inclusive. As .to the report of the Audit Company of Illinois on the receipts and expenditures of the University for the nine months ending January 1, 1904, I have this to say: The method of keeping the accounts in the business office is that directed by the Board of Trustees, and in my judgment is a good and sufficient one. I do not think that the Business Manager should be required to report a daily cash balance. An exact account of all receipts and disbursements is kept. The receipts from the University schools in Chicago are reported to the main office once each month and are then turned over to the University treasurer. All expenditures of the University appear in final form as warrants corresponding to receipted vouchers. Respectfully submitted,

S. W. SHATTUCK,

Business Manager. Appropriations were made as requested by the Business Manager in P a p e r I. T h e Committee on the College of Medicine reported informally with regard to the affiliation with the H a h n e m a n n Medical College and asked for further time, which was granted.

LEGISLATIVE A P P R O P R I A T I O N S .

Messrs. Bullard, McKinley, Nightingale and Kerrick were appointed on this committee. T h e Board adjourned.
