100 UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS. [April 22 The following persons were present: Henry W. Lehmann, vice-president of the Chicago Title and Trust Company, receiver herein; Charles E. Bradleyf chief deputy clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook county; John M. Oliver, representing Charles W. Spaulding; Henry W. Magee, attorney for the receiver; Nathan &. Moore, attorney for the Trustees of the University;. Herbert Skinner, private secretary of said Spaulding; and a stenographer in the employ of the said Magee. Box 556 was first opened. The box was carried into the adjoining room and placed upon the table; the papers were taken therefrom by Mr. Lehman and opened in the presence of all of the above parties There was found therein the following: Fifty bonds of Champaign county, Illinois, dated July 1, 1882, numbered from 51 to 100, inclusive, each for $1,000, all payable by their terms to the "Illinois Industrial University" neither endorsed nor stamped. Also four bonds of School District No. 11, Township 19, Kange 10, in said Champaign county, numbered 3, 4, 5 and 6, numbers,. 3, 4 and 5 each for $1,000, number 6 for $650, all payable to the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. Also one bond No. 1 issued by School District No. 10», township 17, range 14 west of the 2d principal meridian, and ranges lOand 11 east of the 3d principal meridian, in Champaign county, Illinois, for $1,000, payable to the University of Illinois. Also one bond for $3,000 issued by the Union School District No. 2, in said Champaign county, in township 22, range 7 and 8 east of the 3d principal meridian, dated July 1, 1894 and payable to the University of Illinois. Also three bonds of District No. 6, township 19, ranges 8 and 9 east of the third principal meridian, in said county, numbered 1, 2 and 3, each for $2,000, payable to the Trustees for the University of Illinois, dated January 31, 1891. Twenty-nine P'ke county funding bonds each for $1,000, numbered 151 to 179, inclusive, all due July 1, 1899, payable to bearer; each of said bonds was stamped with a red square rubber stamp headed in large type, " T a k e Notice," stating in substance that the bonds belonged to the University of Illinois and were not negotiable. The stamp was signed "John W. Bunn y Treasurer," and was dated July 1, 1879. Also one bond numbered one, issued by School District No. 2, Homer, Champaign county, township 18, range 14 west of said 2d principal meridian r for $7,500, payable to the Trustees for the University of Illinois. Also one bond numbered 5 for 1,000, issued by School District Township 16? Sangamon county, ranges 1 and 2 west of the 3d principal meridian, Illiopolis, payable to John H. Brinkerhofi: or bearer, dated July 11, 1892, not stamped or endorsed. Also twelve bonds each for $500, numbered 29 to 40, issued by School District No. 1, township 19, range 8 east rn said Champaign county, all dated August 1, 1889, and payable to the Board of Trustees for the University of Illinois, the first four being due August 1, 1897, the second four August 1, 1898, the third four August 1, 1899. Also one bond numbered 13 for $1,000, issued by School District No. 3, township 10 north, range 3 west, in Montgomery county, payable to the Trustees for the University of Illinois. Also two bonds numbered 2 and 3, each for $500. issued by School District No. 8, township 8, in said Montgomery county, dated August 10, 1889, payable to E. T. Oliver or bearer, not stamped or endorsed. Bond No. 2, payable August 1, 1897, No. 3 August 1, 1899. Also three bonds of Normal School District, McLean county, numbered 5, 6 and 7, each for $500, payable to bearer, not stam.ped or endorsed. Also six bonds each for $530, numbered from 7 to 12, inclusive, issued by School District No. 2, township 16, Sangamon county,. Illinois, payable toEdward T. Oliver or baarer, not stamped or endorsed.
