Mr. Morrison asked to be relieved from t h e c o m m i t t e e on l e t t i n g coal contracts, a n d on m o t i o n of Mr. Bullard, Mr. M c L e a n a n d M r . G-raham were a p p o i n t e d to act with t h e B u s i n e s s M a n a g e r as such committee. Mr. M o r g a n , to whom t h e m a t t e r h a d been referred, reported with r e g a r d to t h e claim of Mr. S. S. B e m a n , a r c h i t e c t of t h e P r e s i d e n t ' s B o u s e , a n d r e c o m m e n d e d t h a t it be p a i d ; t h e a m o u n t b e i n g $445.56. T h e report was approved a n d t h e bill was ordered paid. P r e s i d e n t D r a p e r invited t h e m e m b e r s of t h e B o a r d to a t t e n d a* m e e t i n g of t h e Corps of I n s t r u c t i o n at t h e P h y s i c s L e c t u r e R o o m in t h e evening a n d t h e invitation was accepted. T h e B o a r d t h e n a d j o u r n e d to meet at 9 o'clock a. m. W e d n e s d a y .

To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. GENTLEMEN: Your ^Finance Committee reports that it has examined the vouchers on which University warrants 1651 to 2125, series 1893-94; 1 to 2150, series 1894-95; 1 to 1425, series 1895-96, inclusive, have been issued, and finds the same correct and properly receipted, with the exception of 787, series 1895-96, for $50,000,- which was not issued. Your committee recommends that this warrant be cancelled.
