M. R. Construction Company's bond. I t was ordered that the President and Secretary make a requisition on the Auditor for a warrant on the State Treasurer for the sum of $1,597.50 in favor of John R. Tanner, Governor, «^. S. McCullough, Auditor of Public Accounts, and Henry L. Hertz, Treasurer, to be drawn from the appropriation made by the General Assembly for defraying the expenses for legal services in the matter of the Spalding defalcation, and to be used in the payment of the bill of Wilson,. Moore and Mcllvaine for legal services rendered amounting to said sum. I t was also ordered that a further requisition for $500.00 be drawn in favor of the same persons from the same fund, to be paid as a retainer fee to C. E. Richards, of Red Oak, Iowa. OOAL CONTRACT. Mr. Smith from the Finance Committee made a report with regard to bids received for furnishing coal. On motion of Mr. Bullard, fcne committee was directed to reject these bids and to call for bids again. The committee was further instructed to report with regard to said bids to the Executive Committee, and the Executive Committee was given power to contract for coal for the ensuing year, in case a satisfactory contract could be made.
