would be unwise and detrimental to the best interests of the University, but recommends that class instruction in vocal music, to students of the University, should be continued free, as at> present, and that the School of Music should be conducted on the same basis as the Schools of Law, Medicine,, etc.» and be as nearly self-supporting as circumstances may permit. Committee on Instruction.. T h i s report of t h e C o m m i t t e e was adopted. DEGREES IN SCHOOL OF PHARMACY. T h e following resolution was a d o p t e d : Besolved, That the Committee on the School of Pharmacy be requested toreport to the Board as to degrees and certificates to be conferred by that School, with such recommendations as they think proper in relation to the matter. After l i s t e n i n g to a s t a t e m e n t b y Mr. R o b e r t s , p r e s i d e n t of t h e H . M. R . C o n s t r u c t i o n C o m p a n y , t h e C o m m i t t e e on B u i l d i n g s a n d G r o u n d s was authorized to waive t h e g i v i n g of a new bond b y said company after J u n e 12th, if i n t h e opinion of t h e C o m m i t t e e t h e interests of t h e U n i v e r s i t y would b e a m p l y protected without such bond. O n motion of M r . R a y m o n d $100,00 was a p p r o p r i a t e d for repairs of b a r n a n d corn cribs a t s o u t h farm.
