GLUCOSE FROM SORGHUM SEED. Our experiments have shown thfit as good glucose can be made from the seed of sorghum as from any other starchy substance. The yield of glucose or grape sugar is three-fourths or more of the weight of seed employed. The tannin does not interfere, as it is converted into glucose by the same means which are used to convert the starch, namely, boiling with dilute acids. EECEIPTS AND EXPENSES OF ONE ACEE OF SOEGHUM.
