That the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Industrial University hereby exress to General D. B. Comstock, U. S. A., Superintendent of the U. S. Lake Survey, their eart-felt thanks for the kindness and courtesy shown to this Institution by determining the geodetic coordinates of its position, in connection with the system of triangulation now in progress under his direction; also for many valuable additions of charts and maps to the University Library. Resolved, That this Board desires to express to General Comstock their high appreciation of the advantages resulting to this University, through the employment of its students under the superintendence and direction of so eminent an engineer.
