The garden was used for vegetables until the early 1940s. 1944 (HGW-45) The Girl with Scarf was installed in 1942. Around the same time, the vegetable beds were replaced with turf, similar to what exists today. The Borie gates were relocated to the Chinese Maze Garden in 1930. III-22
