Preserve axial circulation system as the central organizing feature of the landscape. Restore or rehabilitate plantings to re-establish design intent where vegetation has become overgrown or no longer functions as intended. Preserve sculptural elements within the landscape, with highest priority given to artistically significant pieces. Preserve unity of design and materials. Keep new features within the landscape to a minimum. Necessary additions (interpretive signs, donor plaques) should be simple, unobtrusive in design and dark or neutral colored using a consistent palette of simple, unobtrusive materials.
