CULTURAL LANDSCAPE TREATMENT PLAN ROBERT ALLERTON PARK, MONTICELLO, ILLINOIS 2001 – The Centaur, with its gold flecked bronze finish, was meant to be seen in the sunlight rather than the shade. Compare this view with HGCN-9, taken in 1935. 2001 – The connection of the Centaur with its outlying spaces has been largely obscured by the growth of vegetation. This view is similar to HGCN-17 from the late 1930s except that the pylons are no longer visible. III-78
