Career building resources Why choose ACES? ACES Career Services helps students find internships and land job interviews. Resume writing workshops and interview practice sessions give ACES students a competitive edge. Small community inside a large university The College of ACES is home to approximately 2,250 undergraduate students. The size of each department varies from 100-600 students. Academic resources The Funk ACES library features computer labs, group study rooms and plenty of resources for research projects. Outstanding scholarships Each year, ACES awards $1.1 million in need and meritbased scholarships. Undergraduate research opportunities The ACES Research Scholarship Program encourages students to conduct research in a broad range of disciplines solving practical problems. Leadership development Maxine roman, Sophomore Food Science “ I’m a chemistry person, but I found the general curriculum of Chemistry not exciting. Food Science classes teach all of my favorite things about sciences in an application-oriented manner.” ACES Student Council and more than two dozen student organizations offer ample opportunities for students to build leadership skills. Students can earn a leadership certificate and participate in free leadership programs through the Illinois Leadership center. Outstanding faculty Award winning faculty in research and education provide the foundation for an excellent education. 95% of classes in the College of ACES are taught by faculty members or academic professionals. Accessible administration Through the Lunch with the Deans program, students have the opportunity to get to know the college administration. Many of the Associate Deans also serve as advisors for student organizations.
