Museums and Entertainment

    Although nationally recognized for the quality of its education and research, theUniversity of Illinois also offers a selection of exquisite entertainment and museum venues. Krannert Art Museum features an outstanding collection of paintings, sculptures, and other works of art, while the extensive collections of the Spurlock Museum span through history. The Krannert Center for Performing Arts, host to more than 350 performances a year, boasts one of the most acoustically perfect concert halls in the world. The Assembly Hall has played host to such performers as The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and The Harlem Globetrotters. Smith Music Hall features an exquisitely decorated concert hall and lobby and has played host to performances for nearly 90 years.
