APPOINTMENT OF McKINLEY PROFESSOR

(21) A recommendation that Dean C. M . Thompson of the College of Commerce be appointed McKinley Professor of the Economics of Public Utilities and Head of the Department of Public Utilities and Transportation, in addition to his positions as Dean of the College of Commerce and Business Administration and Director of the Bureau of Business Research. This recommendation is a part of the proposed reorganization of the work in Public Utilities and involves no change in Dean Thompson's salary. O n m o t i o n of M r s . E v a n s , this r e c o m m e n d a t i o n w a s adopted.

(22) A recommendation that there be established in the University the Office of University Counsel and Professor of L a w and that Professor Sveinbjorn Johnson of the College of L a w be appointed to this office at a salary of 38,500. O n motion of M r . Trees, this r e c o m m e n d a t i o n w a s adopted.
