The bright star which marks tin nt r of population in America must with the next census 1 brought within the boundaries of Illinois. That which marks the center of agricultural productivity is air ady here. We are at the center of the carrying t r a d e : the map of Illinois is blacker with railroad lines than that any other state in the Union, or t h a t of any other nation on the globe. Are we not to have the center of education here also?
