It also studies business .nd general economic problems, particularly on subjects of interest to Illinois, and transmits findings and data to businessmen and others iterested. Regular publications arc the monthly Illinois Business Review and the Quarterly Review of Ecom :cs and Business. Director is V. Lewis Bassie. EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT CENTER of the College of Commerce was established in 1 57 to be an educational center for business administrators. Its interest is management education in business, government, military and other types of institutions and organiza•ons. Activities include month-long summer Executive Development Program and other sessions for outstanding business executives. Director is Edward L. Allen.

COLLEGE OF COMMUNICATIONS was established as the School of Journalism in 1927, became the College of Journalism and Communications in 1957, then the College of Communications in 1968. It includes the departments of advertising, journalism and radio-television, the Institute of Communications Research and the Division of University Broadcasting. Dean is Theodore Peterson. INSTITUTE OF COMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH, a pioneer research unit in communications, was established in 1947 to encourage an interdisciplinary approach to basic research in all aspects of human communications. Staff members hold joint academic appointments in the behavioral and social sciences and in journalism. It includes the Center for Comparative Psycholinguistics. Director is James W. Carey. BROADCASTING activities of the University were begun in 1922. WILL, 580 kilohertz, 5,000 watts, is an educational, noncommercial station operating Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. - local sunset. Bimonthly program schedules are free on request. WILL-FM, 90. 9 megahertz, 105,000 watts E. R. P. , carries similar cultural and educational programs Monday through Friday, 3-10 p . m . ; Saturday, 1-10 p.m. WILL-TV, channel 12, 316 kilowatts, presents noncommercial programs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.; Sunday, 4-10 p. m. The Motion Picture Production Center is in charge of producing films for educational uses. Broadcasting director is Donald P. Mullally. ILLINI PUBLISHING COMPANY was incorporated in 1911 to publish the student newspaper at the Urbana-Champaign campus. Its operation includes The Daily Illini, tabloid newspaper now in its 103 year of publication, issued five mornings a week during the academic year and four mornings a week during the summer session, a member of the Associated >re88 ' Chicago Daily News, Sun Times Press Service, Inland Daily Press Association, -merican Newspaper Publishers' Association, The Advertising Bureau; The Illinois Technograph, published four times each academic year, an engineering student magazine; Illio, student yearbook, and WPGU, student radio station. WPGU, 107. 1 megahertz, with a effective radiated power of 3,000 watts, covers a 40-mile radius of Urbana-Champaign. It affiliated v/ith ABC and UPI, is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters d operates 24 hours a day. Richard Sublette is IPC general manager.
