Total Surplus Earned $257,502.56 The Association records showed that on March 15, 1924, the total amount paid into the Stadium project amounted to $257,534.47. STADIUM Surplus of Income over Expenditures for all purposes except Stadium $79,310 Stadium collection work for 1924-25 to be paid for by Athletic Association Salaries $ 3,000 Wages, Office Expense, Supplies, Printing, Mailing 30,000 33,000 Estimated Balance for other Stadium Expenses during the coming year $46,310 Respectfully submitted George Huff Director of Athletics O n motion of M r s . Evans, this budget was approved, subject to adjustment by the President of the University. INCREASED CREDIT IN MILITARY SCIENCE AND TACTICS (8) The University Senate on recommendation of the faculty of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has voted to increase the amount of credit in Military Science and Tactics accepted toward the degree from 8 to 10 hours, in accordance with the action of the Senate on December 6, 1920, increasing the total amount of credit to be allowed students in Military to 10 hours. O n motion of M r . Trees, this additional credit in Military Science and Tactics was approved. APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR W. E. BRITTON (9) On recommendation of Dean Harno, I recommend the appointment of William Everett Britton, to be Professor of Law, at a salary of $4500 a year, beginning September 1, 1924. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this appointment was made.

COMMISSION ON PROPERTY PURCHASED

(10) The Supervising Architect requests an appropriation of $440.30 to pay for services rendered by Mr. O. K. Burton, Champaign, in negotiating purchases of property bought from Messrs. Woods, Cunningham, Englis, Ensign, Lloyd, and Martin. The amount is one-half of the regular commission. I recommend that $440.30 be assigned from the Reserve and Contingent fund to the Supervising Architect to pay for these services.
