provided that under no circumstances shall the Comptroller or the Assistant to the Comptroller sign the names of both the President and the Secretary to the same warrant or voucher. MATTERS PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT KINLEY T h e Board considered the following matters presented b y the President of the University.

LEASE OF A CARTER-PENNELL TRUST FARM

(1) A recommendation that the action of the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board in executing a lease of one of the Carter-Pennell trust farms to Mr. Claude M c Donald be approved. This farm is described as follows: About 104 acres of the northeast quarter of section 11 and about 89 acres of the north side of the northwest quarter of section 12 in township 23 north, range 14 west of the second principal meridian in the county of Vermilion and the State of Illinois. O n motion of M r . Trees, the execution of this lease w a s approved.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO AWARD CERTAIN CONTRACTS

(2) A recommendation that the Executive Committee be authorized to award contracts on the wiring, heating, and plumbing for the McKinley Student Hospital, and on the wiring and plumbing for the Commerce Building, since these bids are to be in March 17, 1924; and also on the laying houses for the poultry plant. O n motion of M r s . Blake, this r e c o m m e n d a t i o n w a s a p p o v e d .
