On motion of Mrs. Evans, this recommendation was approved. LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR ASSISTANT PROFESOR W. F. SCHULZ (22) A recommendation that Assistant Professor W. F. Schulz be granted a leave of absence on half pay for the academic year beginning September, 1924, under the University rule as to leave of absence. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this recommendation was approved.

REPORT FROM THE COMPTROLLER ON THE PURCHASE OF LOTS

(23) Under date of December 27 the Comptroller reports that in accordance with the action of the Board of Trustees on December 3, 1923, he has completed the purchase of Lot 30 in College Place from W . F. Woods for $2000, subject to regular taxes for the year and unpaid lighting assessments, and also that he has completed the purchase of Lot 25 i College Place with house thereon from Professor n R. S. Bauer for $9000 subject to taxes for the year and special lighting assessments. This report w a s received for record. APPOINTMENT TO THE SCHOOL OF PHARMACY ADVISORY BOARD (24) A recommendation that Mr. Fred W. Rauth o S r n f e d be appointed a f pigil member of the Advisory Board of the School of Pharmacy for 5 years beginning January 1, 1924, in place of Mr. G. E. Baumann of Springfield, whose term has expired. O n motion of M r s . Evans this appointment was made. TIME FOR BIDS ON NEW BUILDINGS EXTENDED (25) A statement concerning the plans and specifications for the new buildings. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, it w a s voted that all bidders be notified that the time for submitting bids on the n e w buildings has been extended to February 11, 1924, at 2 p.m. and that this fact be advertised. On motion of Mrs. Evans, it was voted that in case Mr. Trees should be unable to attend the meeting of the Executive Committee to open the bids for n e w buildings on February 11, 1924, M r . A r m strong be requested to take his place on the Committee for that meeting.
