Carter, husband and wife, jointly and severally, and each as spouse of the other, personally known to m e to be the same persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing Instrument, appeared before me this day in person and acknowledged that they signed, sealed, and delivered the said Instrument as their free and voluntary act, for the uses and purposes herein set forth. Notary Public Our Legal Counsel advises me that the following resolution should be adopted by your Board with reference to this matter. The resolution is prepared by him. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, the following resolution w a s adopted: T h e Board of Trustees of t h e University of Illinois hereby formally receives, accepts, and approves the attached and foregoing Statement of the Intention of Joseph Carter and Jane P. Carter, Creators and Donors of the Carter-Pennell Trust for educational purposes, a Trust heretofore accepted by said Board of Trustees, and in witness thereof, causes the name of said Board of Trustees to be affixed thereto by the President of said Board, and to be attested by the Secretary of said Board of Trustees, under its corporate Seal. PARKING REGULATIONS ON GREEN STREET (13) A statement concerning negotiations with the City of Urbana to regulate parking on Green street between Mathews avenue and Wright street. O n motion of M r s . Evans, the President of the University was authorized to enter into an arrangement to cooperate with the City of Urbana to enforce parking regulations on this part of Green street, without prejudice to the interests of the University in that part of the campus which is n o w used as Green street. MOVING MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND LIBRARY (14) A recommendation that an appropriation of $2500, or as much thereof as may be necessary, be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to meet the expense of moving equipment, library, etc. into our new medical laboratory and library building. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this recommendation was approved and the appropriation w a s m a d e by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, M r . Blair, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r . Noble, M r . Trees; no, none; absent, M r s . Blake, M r s . Busey, M r . Herbert, M r . Small, M r . Trimble.
