TAXATION OF CARTER LAND (2) A report that Mr. A. R. Hall, Attorney for Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Carter, had secured the exemption from taxation of the land given to the University to found the Carter-Pennell Trust. This report w a s received for record. This report was received for record. REAPPROPRIATION OF UNEXPENDED BALANCE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL HUSBANDRY

(4) A recommendation that the unused balance of an item of $5,000 for the purchase of a Percheron stallion ($1,947.27) be reappropriated to the Department of Animal Husbandry for the purchase of three or four young Percheron mares to add to the horse equipment. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, this transfer w a s m a d e . DIRECTORS OF THE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (5) A recommendation that the following men be reappointed Directors of the University Athletic Association, to serve until the annual meeting in March, 1924: Director George A. Huff, Professor G. A. Goodenough, Professor O. A. Harker, Mr. Harvey J. Sconce, Mr. E. I. Burke. On motion of Mrs. Evans, this recommendation was approved.

PLANS AND BIDS ON NEW BUILDINGS

(6) A recommendation of the Supervising Architect that plans and specifications for the new buildings (McKinley Hospital, Commerce, Men's Gymnasium, and Library) be issued to the contractors as they are ready, and that bids on single buildings and on the four collectively be asked for early in February, 1924.
