CHANGE IN CURRICULUM OF COLLEGE OF MEDICINE (3) A recommendation that the following changes in the curriculum in medicine be approved as recommended by the University Senate: To substitute elective work in the place of the following subjects at present prescribed in the junior year for all students: 1st Semester Medical Clinics 16 clock-hours Didactic Medicine 16 clock-hours Didactic Obstetrics. 16 clock-hours Orthopedic Dispensary 18 c'ock-hours 66 clock-hours 2nd Semester Medical Clinics 16 clock-hours Didactic Medicine 16 clock-hours Genito-Urinary Dispensary 18 clock-hours 50 clock-hours The present curriculum of the College of Medicine provides in the junior year for only 16 clock-hours of electives. This, therefore, is a proposal to increase the number of elective clock-hours for that year to 82 thefirstsemester and to 66 the second semester. O n motion of M r s . Blake, these changes were approved.

PLANTING TREES AROUND THE STADIUM

(4) A recommendation that Professor White be authorized to proceed with planting trees around the Stadium, the expense to be charged to the appropriation already made for physical plant extension, and that the committee appointed by the Board on October 20, 1922 (See page 68) concerning planting around the new horticultural laboratory act as an advisory committee on this matter. The members of this committee are Mrs. Blake and Mrs. Busey. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this recommendation was approved. APPROPRIATION TO DEPARTMENT OF DAIRY HUSBANDRY (5) A recommendation that an appropriation of $4100 be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to the Department of Dairy Husbandry for expense and equipment. On motion of Mr. Armstrong, this appropriation was made, by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Armstrong, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Noble, Mr. Trees; no, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Busey, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Small, Mr. Trimble. HEATING MEDICAL RESEARCH LABORATORY AND LIBRARY (6) A recommendation that an appropriation of $2500 be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund, in order to pay the University's share of the expense of heating the Medical Research Library and Laboratory building during the coming winter. O n motion of M r s . Blake, this appropriation w a s m a d e , b y the following vote: A y e , M r . Armstrong, M r s . Blake, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r . Noble, M r . INSURANCE ON THE MEDICAL RESEARCH LABORATORY AND LIBRARY IN CHICAGO

(7) A recommendation that $600 be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent Fund forfireinsurance on the Medical Research Laboratory and Library building, under construction.
