332 board of trustees [October 27, LOCATION O F CHICAGO P O W E R PLANT The Secretary presented for record the following letter from Judge C. H . Jenkins, Director of the Department of Public Welfare, concerning the location of the power plant for the Chicago hospital and research group (see page 304). October 17, 1923 Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Urbana, Illinois My Dear Mr. Cunningham: Referring again to }rour letter of September 27th, I have conferred with Dr. Noble and I will be pleased to use such influence as I may have in arranging to have the power plant placed on the state property south of the alley and facing on Taylor Street. POULTRY PLANT (1) A recommendation that the thirty-five acre tract east of the golf course be assigned for the work in poultry and that $25,000 be appropriated from the State appropriation of $380,000foragricultural buildings,forthe construction of a poultry plant.
