There being no response, he thanked the bidders for their attendance and excused them from the meeting, after which the Committee proceeded to the consideration of the bids. T h e contract for the ventilating system w a s awarded to the Sodemann Heat & Power C o m p a n y , at their bid of $12460. T h e contract for the electrical work w a s awarded to the MarrsTanner C o m p a n y , at their bid of $6,250. T h e Supervising Architect was instructed to return the certified checks to all but the three low bidders in each class. T h e Executive Committee considered the following recommendations of the President of the University. APPROPRIATION FOR AGRICULTURE BUILDING (1) A recommendation that the whole sum ol $500,000 appropriated by the Legislature for the f r t unit of an Agriculture group and equipment thereof be approis priated for the purposes of the act. This recommendation was approved. CONTRACT FOR MILITARY UNIFORMS (2) A recommendation that authority be given the Comptroller to make a contract for military uniforms for advanced students for the coming year, in accordance with the terms of the preliminary contract draft submitted herewith, in accordance with the regulations of the War Department and in conference with the University Commandant, at a price not to exceed $30 an outfit, to be paid from the commutation to be secured from the Government for such uniforms. This recommendation w a s approved. T h e Executive Committee adjourned until 10:30 a. m . on Tuesday, July 18. When the Executive Committee met at 10:30 a. m. on Tuesday, all the m e m b e r s were present—also Professor White, and during parts of the day, M r . C. A. Piatt, M r . H . B . Krauel, M r . Engelm a n n , M r . Wright, and M r . Burline. The bids for the Agriculture building were further considered.
