RESIGNATION OF PROFESSOR GREENE (23) A recommendation that the Board reconsider i s action of January 17, 1923 t (page 106), accepting the resignation of Professor E. B. Greene to take effect June 30, 1923, and accept this resignation to be effective August 31, 1923. O n motion of M r . Trees, the action accepting Professor Greene's resignation was reconsidered. O n motion of M r s . Evans, Professor Greene's resignation w a s accepted to take effect August 31, 1923.

CAHOKIA MOUNDS

(24) A recommendation that an additional appropriation of $1,000 be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund as an honorarium to Dr. Warren K. Moorehead, the distinguished archeologist in charge of the work at the Cahokia Mounds, for his services. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this recommendation w a s approved. T h e appropriation was m a d e by the following vote: A y e , M r . A r m strong, M r s . Blake, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r . Noble, M r . Trees; no, none; absent, M r . Blair, M r s . Busey, M r . Herbert, M r . Small, M r . Trimble. CONTRACT FOR REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT (25) A report that the contract for the refrigeration equipment for the Horticultural Field Laboratory has been let to the American Carbonic Machinery Company, which was the low bidder, the amount of the contract being #16,760. This action has been taken under the authority given by the Board of Trustees at the meeting of June 13, 1922 (page 288). This report was received for record. PLYM FELLOWSHIP APPOINTMENT (26) A report from the Plym Fellowship Committee that at a meeting held on April 17 the Committee selected Mr. Edward L. Hubbell of the Class of 1922 as the winner of the tenth Competition and nominates him as the tenth Francis J. Plym Fellow in Architecture. I recommend the approval of this nomination. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, this nomination w a s approved. VACATION OF DOCTOR BOUGHTON EXTENDED (27) A recommendation from Dean Mumford that Doctor I. B. Boughton, Associate in Animal Pathology, be permitted to extend his vacation this summer from one month to two months without interruption of salary to enable him to make a trip to France to visit the leading veterinary institutions of that country. I recommend the approval of this recommendation. O n motion of M r s . Blake, this recommendation w a s approved.

LOCATION OF NEW RESIDENCE HALL

(28) The Supervising Architect recommends that the new residence hall be located immediately west of the present one. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this location w a s approved.

LOCATION OF N E W GYMNASIUM

(29) A recommendation that the new Gymnasium building be located just south of the Armory, facing Fourth Street. O n motion of M r s . Blake, this recommendation was concurred in.
